Bomb does nothing
Switch to the required pickaxe. A boulder can remain intact even when a bomb works on surrounding crystal areas.
Runes are timed plot buffs obtained from mineable boulders. Find a boulder, break it with the required pickaxe, collect the rune, then place it on your plot when you are ready to use the timer.
Boulders are the rune source shown in current gameplay. Use a pickaxe rather than a bomb, place the drop on your plot to activate it, and pick it up to preserve unused time.
Use the Boulder Radar when available, or search exposed areas of the current mountain. A radar helps locate boulders; it does not award a rune by itself.
Hit the boulder with a pickaxe strong enough for it. Two independent gameplay guides show pickaxes being used for boulders; do not waste bombs on a boulder that requires direct mining.
A broken boulder can drop runes. The exact rune and result vary, so treat any single video drop as an example rather than a guaranteed table.
Runes become active after placement. Hover the placed rune or the active-effect bar to read its effect and remaining time in the current interface.
Pick the rune back up before leaving the session or changing tasks. The demonstrated rune keeps its remaining duration when collected and placed again later.

Confirm the rune is placed on your plot, then check the placed object and the active-effect bar.
Read the current in-game tooltip. Rune values and available types may change after updates.
Checked 2026-08-26 against gameplay videos by SamikTOHA and Kingkade. Both show the correct Roblox experience and the boulder-to-rune flow; the placement, timer, and pickup behavior is demonstrated in the longer rune walkthrough. These are player demonstrations, not official drop-rate tables.
