Mine a Mountain Farming Guide
The useful farming metric is cash earned after selling divided by the full run time. Compare runs on the same mountain and change only one variable.
Fast answer
Time one complete climb-mine-sell loop. If cold ends it, buy Warmth; if the bag fills, buy Backpack; if nodes take too long, buy Pickaxe. Retest before spending again.
Measure a route instead of guessing
- 1
Start with an empty Backpack
Sell before the test so the result is not distorted by crystals from an earlier run.
- 2
Choose one repeatable route
Use a path you can complete safely. Record the mountain rotation because the layout changes hourly.
- 3
Record time and cash
Start timing when you leave the sell area; stop after selling. Write down the cash gained, not the apparent value of unsold crystals.
- 4
Identify lost time
Note whether the run was limited by cold, a full Backpack, slow mining, travel, or an unreachable boulder.
- 5
Change one thing
Upgrade Warmth, Backpack, or Pickaxe—or shorten the route—then run the same test again before changing anything else.
Cash per minute = cash gained ÷ total minutes
Example: if a full loop produces 12,000 cash in 6 minutes, the observed rate is 2,000 cash per minute. This is only your route result—not a permanent game rate—and should be retested after an hourly mountain change.
